WWF Unforgiven 2000

(I'm starting big guns down on this one.)

Fatal Fourway Match for the World Wrestling Federation Championship
Kane vs. Undertaker vs. Chris Benoit vs. The Rock

My Pick: I'm saying Kane on this one. Yes, I'm an Undie fan and all, but he needs some more time to get ready and heal up before he can have the belt and credibly defend it. I do want my boy to win it cleanly and have another decent reign (no bullshit ones like last time) before he rides off into the sunset.

Will Win: Rock. I don't see them having their top draw lose the belt, unless he goes for a major heel turn by being the one who ran Stone Cold down, which I don't see happening -- at least not now.

Special referee: Mick Foley
Kurt Angle vs. Triple H

My Pick: They've been teasing us with a HHH face turn for a month now, so I can't see any reason why they're going to stop that. I see Kurt beating HHH with the help of Stephanie.

Will Win: Same

Steel Cage Match for the Tag Team Championship
The Hardy Boyz vs. Edge & Christian

My Pick: Hardy Boyz. They're overdue for a win and they'll earn it in this one. This match is going to be spotfest city, and the guys are going to take sickening bumps.

Will Win: Same

Leather Strap Match
Tazz vs. Jerry "The King" Lawler

My Pick: Should I even really care about this one? Hell, if this was supposed to make me hate Taz more, it's not working. Anyhow, I'm going to go with Taz on this one. They're trying to get him over as a heel, and beating the tar out of Lawler will do it.

Will Win: Same

Intercontinental Championship
Eddie Guerrero vs. Rikishi

My Pick: I'm going with Eddy on this one. He's proven to be a credible champ, and can do more than the stinkface, which ranks up there with the worm as one of my most detested "not a wrestling move but -hey- since it's now 'sports-entertainment' we'll make it one" move.

Will Win: Rikishi, which will put a big strain on the never-ending saga of Eddy and Chyna due to the face he loses the belt after her planned interference backfires. Christ, did I just tune into All My Children or what to see this crap on my TV?

Chris Jericho vs. X-Pac

My Pick: I'm praying it's Jericho or else I'm planning a roadtrip to Connecticut to talk some sense into a few folks. I'd also like to know who's pissed off at him enough to bump him from Heavyweight contender to feuding with X-Pac. I'd also like to know who X-Pac's sucking off to have such a cushy job.

Will Win: X-Pac who, for some ungodly reason, is getting a semi-push.

Eight-man Tag Team Match
Dudley Boyz & Acolytes vs. Right to Censor

My Pick: I may be a Dancin' Stevie mark, but I've gotta go with my boys (APA and Dudleys) on this one.

Will Win: I see RTC walking out with this one, just to build their heat up some more. The reason I see this is I feel my boys aren't going to be buddies too awfully long and the peace will be broken.

Hardcore Open Invitational
Steve Blackman vs. Al Snow vs. Test vs.
Funaki vs. Saturn vs. Crash
** 10-minute time limit
** There can be an infinite number of title changes
** The last man to score a pin before time expires is the Hardcore Champion

My Pick: I'm going with Blackman on this one. Not only is he pretty kickass with the trash cans, but I dig his stone-faced "party time" phrase.

Will Win: Crash, because the WWF has a tendency to run things into the dirt. The 24/7 thing is only cute when the Mean Street Posse are going after him and Pete Gas stops to eat.

Results:

My Picks correct: 63% (5 out of 8)

Will Wins correct: 50% (4 out of 8)

Overall: To quote Edge and Christian, this PPV will probably be reeking of sucktitude. Save your money and purchase a fine older PPV at your local Suncoast.
